Yes We Can – and we will be back on 31 May

The Sensemble theatre has generously offered us new slots for the production of the three Pinter shorts Landscape, Night, and Family Voices, which we had to cancel in November due to restrictive new CORONA rules introduced in Bavaria at that time. And these are the new dates:

  • Tue 31 May, 8:30 p.m., Sensemble Theatre
  • Wed 1 June, 8:30 p.m., Sensemble Theatre
  • Sat 4 June, 8:30 p.m., Sensemble Theatre

Tickets at 12 (concessions 6 ) will be on sale from Tue 17 May at Taschenbuchladen Krüger (F?rberg?sschen 1, near K?); it is also possible to reserve tickets online by filling in the order form and sending it by email to anglistentheater@philhist.uni-augsburg.de.

Our plans for 2022

For the summer season, see above! – We have not yet decided what the autumn/winter play will be, but, after a two year interval, we will be once again in Sion/CH for an intensive rehearsal week in calendar week 41, between October 9/10 and 14.

As usual, we are also looking for newcomers to join our team. If you would like to act, and have good or even perfect English and would like to be on stage in our next production, or if you would like to be a prompt, lend a helping hand with stage management, makeup, stage design, sound design and costumes, or join our backstage and front of house teams, do get in touch with us. We welcome people from all backgrounds and different parts of the globe, and you don’t even have to be a student to join us!

?

There will be an introductory meeting for the 2022 autumn/winter season
some time in the second half of July 2022.
Simply keep an eye on this website for the date.

AnglistenTheater production of Amanda Whittington's Thrill of Love featured in Nick Hern Books new blog post

In 2020, Nick Hern Books published a blog post about their Most-Performed Plays of 2019. Amanda Whittington’s play The Thrill of Love?made the Top 10 and, because Nick Hern liked our pictures so much, they featured a photo from the AnglistenTheater production! Take a look at the blog post here.

A new AnglistenTheater Icon

? Julia Wittmann

?

?

Julia Wittmann ...

... has created a magnificent new Icon for the AnglistenTheater – although it’s in fact ages since we last produced one of Shakespeare’s plays: to be precise, this was Macbeth back in 1990 (see History of the AnglistenTheater).

?

We are still working ...

... on ways to make this icon available on T-shirts and, perhaps, mugs, at a reasonable price.

?

So perhaps in 2022 or 2023 ...

... when we belatedly celebrate our 40th anniversary, we’ll be able to tell you how to get hold of these.

Interested in joining us?

We always welcome new members, whether they would like to be on stage as actresses and actors, or rather join our team of creatives or the backstage and front of house crew. ?? ?
